MH NOW is the part of MDH which focuses on News and Politics, it discusses current affairs and reports on issues which impact us all at a local, national and international level. MH NOW will always endeavour to source facts from reputable sources and trusted organisations, and MH NOW will also endeavour to create and distribute original, truthful articles and news at a local level.
Local and independent media has taken an absolute hammering in the digital age, with the erosion of local newspapers, and in some cases complete disappearance of them. Even the likes of the St Andrews Citizen, once produced and distributed in the town and wider local area, is now owned by Iconic Media (formerly National World), based in London.
How can a company based in London have any knowledge of what goes on in St Andrews, or commitment to it? You can see it in the posts on their social media pages, and the articles in the newspaper. That is in stark contrast to the DC Thomson-owned Courier, which is based in the area, and uses local journalists and posts about local issues.
Never has it been more important for Independent Media, backed up with facts and rooted in truth, to exist.
